Description
Program Overview:
As an awareness of complementary approaches to conventional health care continues to grow, people are realizing the need to take more responsibility for their own health. Yet, in this ever-expanding field of alternative medicine, the mountains of information and viewpoints can be overwhelming. Sifting through the often conflicting information on topics such as herbal remedies, the best food sources, supplementary requirements, and environmental toxins, leaves many of us more confused than enlightened. With lives already overflowing with work and family, many people are turning to knowledgeable practitioners to help them sort through the media-driven health hype and guide them towards a well-researched, nutritionally sound way of living. Graduates from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition provide such a role. They are educated partners qualified to devise a personalized health scheme that integrates and honors the physical, emotional, environmental and spiritual aspects of an individual’s life.
IHN’s curriculum skillfully blends the traditional with the ever-evolving wisdom of wellness in the true spirit of Holistic Health. Providing its students with leading edge research, innovative coursework and dynamic approaches to wellness, the intensive 1 year full-time or 2 year part-time Diploma program challenges students to question trends and provides them with the knowledge to dissect and analyze future directions as they transpire. For anyone interested in becoming a part of the most progressive field in health care today IHN provides a curriculum that trains practitioners to successfully scale those ever-expanding mountains of nutritional information. Students graduate with a Diploma in Applied Holistic Nutrition and have earned the designation of Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), with full qualifications to receive the Registered Nutritional Consulting Practitioner (RNCP) or Registered Orthomolecular Health Practitioner (ROHP) designations or the Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner (NNCP) designation from the CANNP. Graduates work in partnership with their clients to achieve a lifestyle that is fulfilling, balanced, nourished and above whole.
